Meanwhile, here's a look at what I've been doing lately. (Well, sort of...I study for the bar about 8 hours a day, and with the rest of my time I have been refinishing a coffee table. I finally finished it a couple days ago after a week or two of work.) In the pictures, you see it right after I finished stripping the old varnish off (I neglected to take the "before" picture), directly after I finished sanding, and then the re-stained and varnished final product.

That's one good lookin' coffee table. If it doesn't work out with the bar exam, at least you'll know that you could become a professional stainer! Keep us updated on how things are coming with the baby.
whoa...impressive. Sorry about the no baby thing yet. That's the worst...just waiting. Chance was 1 days past his due date and just when I thought I couldn't stand it anymore...my contractions started out of no where right around midnight! So....watch out! Good Luck!
Jared: The coolest part about it is that the surface raises up on hinges to be like a dinner table. That explanation doesn't do it justice, you'll just have to see it sometime. Perhaps we'll have you over for the Washington game? Do you guys have FSN Rocky Mountain? 'Cause we do! 56 days....
