Teriyaki Chicken (my dad used to make this for us growing up, it's super easy and yummy)
- chicken breasts, cubed
- teriyaki sauce
- brown sugar
Steamed Veggies
Obviously there is no recipe for this. I just thought I would share the way we like to make our veggies. Just put about 1/2 inch of water in the bottom of the pan with the veggies and put a lid on. Turn burner on high. Once the water comes to a good boil, turn off the burner and remove the pan from heat. Let the veggies sit for around 5 minutes. You can adjust this some based on how soft you like your veggies. Leave it sitting a little longer if you want them to cook more. We love having veggies with our meals because it keeps the meal low calorie. You can eat higher calorie food if you just eat if with a bunch of veggies so you get filled up.
Garlic and Cheddar Biscuits - about 150 calories each
- 2 cup flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp garlic salt
- 1/3 cup butter
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup milk
*I got this recipe and added the cheeses and garlic. These are the amounts I use for the cheese and garlic, you can alter it if you want more or less. If you want a plain biscuit, you can just omit those items (they are 140 calories each without those items and make 12 biscuits)
This was our dinner last night. Very yummy and filling. I don't know the exact calorie count, but it is around 400 calories per plate.

I wish I was eating at your house tonight! :)
The healthy side is mostly my fault. Still trying to shed the last of the law school massive weight gain.
