A Spider Tale

So when I got home from work on Friday I noticed this in the corner of the garage:



And a slightly better view:



Naturally we didn't want a black widow running around, so I sprayed it with some ant killer (it was that or wasp, all I had). That certainly made the spider uncomfortable, but it didn't do the trick. So I took a hammer to it:



Hopefully we won't be seeing any more of those with a little guy in the house and an infant on the way...
