An update from the Gman

I haven't been much of a blogger since we moved to Nevada. It has been a busy time. My new job is interesting, and definitely a big challenge. Essentially I am running the public administrator/public guardian portion of the District Attorney's Office, and I am also in charge of Child Support enforcement. I haven't done anything with the latter yet.

So it's all about dead people, incompetent people, and dead beat parents. Things were a bit behind when I arrived and I have been working like crazy to get it under control. No major errors so far, at least that I'm aware of.

My boss is an outstanding guy and I can tell that I'm really going to enjoy working for him. I also learned early on that I will be making 10% more than what I accepted, so that was a welcome revelation.

We are currently house shopping, and there is a little place that we might make an offer on.

Otherwise, I am extremely anxious for football season...4 weeks seems like a long time, but I am quite excited to get down to Dallas for BYU v. Oklahoma.
