We are very pleased to announce the arrival of our new boy, Grant. His middle name is Gary. Around 5 pm Rebecca started having contractions, and we went to the hospital at 8 pm. They sent us home around midnight, but they just got harder and we returned at 4 am. A big shout out to Joe and Kamie for watching out other kids.
The delivery was otherwise smooth, save for Grant trying to turn the wrong way precisely when he was about to come out. The doctor had to get him turned back around, and he eventually came out the right way at 8:06 am. He was 6 pounds 8 ounces and 18 inches long. We are all thrilled!
