OK, so maybe I'm just trying to thin out the herd a little bit, since people are going to law school in record numbers. I do wish, however, I had talked to someone like me before going to law school. I might have gotten a Ph.D in history and taught or become a dentist.
I won't detail my thoughts on law school, as that would take up a ton of room. Fortunately I like practicing law a lot more than I liked law school.

Dentist?? Really? I can see the PhD... but not a dentist. Maybe for the NOSS, but that would be the only draw for me.
At the time I thought that I would be unhappy spending my life with my hand in other people's mouths.
But then I see some dentist contemporaries making three times the money I do and only working 3-4 days a week - hand in the face doesn't seem so bad, then.
And I actually liked law school a lot more than I anticipate I will ever like practicing law-- at least the law that they encourage you to practice (big law firm stuff)
