Yummy Recipe

I don't know how many people are interested in hearing recipes from me but since Kiersten asked, I thought I'd start posting my favorites. I should have taken a picture of it, but maybe next time I'll remember. Last night I made quiche. This is one of Gary's favorites (he has a lot of favorites though).

Ham and Broccoli Quiche - 2280 calories total

  • 1 pie crust (I just make a basic one from scratch)
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked ham
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded swiss (6oz)
  • 1 cup uncooked broccoli
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dry ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
Preheat oven to 375. Place pie crust in a 9inch glass pie pan. Layer ham, cheese, and broccoli over crust. Beat eggs and milk together and stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into pan. Bake 35-45 minutes (it might take a little longer) or until knife comes out clean.

This is a very easy and yummy recipe. Last night I decided to switch it up and put potatoes and bacon in it instead. I used two potatoes that I cubed and cooked on the stove and then cooked 8 pieces of bacon and crumbled them. It tasted pretty good.
