Along with the headaches I've also had a couple visits to the hospital. My pregnancy with James went very smoothly, so I guess I'm making up for that a little. This pregnancy still hasn't been that bad, at least I haven't been throwing up or being put on bed rest or anything. The kidney stone incident was quite painful, but at least it was only a one day thing.
The most recent problem, which was just this past weekend, involved us all getting the flu. James got it first but never even threw up at all (which was nice for me). I came down with it on Thursday night. It hit me pretty hard being pregnant and all. I threw up at least 10 times in the space of 7 hours and was still feeling sick all day Friday. Luckily I had a doctors appointment on Friday morning, which I barely made it to. I say lucky because they were able to let me know that I was severely dehydrated from the sickness. I ended up having to go to the hospital to get a couple bags of fluid put in me. I'm glad I had that appointment because I probably wouldn't have known how dehydrated I was and ended up getting sick again or maybe even go into pre-term labor. Gary had gotten sick early Friday morning as well, so it was not a very fun weekend. We were all feeling decent by Monday and for me back to normal by Tuesday.
I've also been measuring a little small the last few weeks, so the doctor is going to have me get another ultrasound just to make sure there aren't any problems. I'm excited to be able to see the baby again. Maybe we can get a better look at the gender this time!
The rest of the family has been doing well, other than the sickness. James is getting big. He'll be two soon! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I've added some pictures and a video of James so everyone can see how big he has gotten. He talks pretty well. He can repeat a good amount of words and has even been saying some short sentences the past month or so. He says stuff like "I see you", "Where are you?", "Don't want it", "Here I am", "Come on", and other similar short sentences. We had gone to see some baby goats a few weeks ago for our play group and James had a great time. He kept chasing after the goats with pieces of grass and saying "you want it?" It was very cute. I wish I had remembered to bring the camera.
James has a pretty good memory too. He likes to sing songs and can some how remember the words to songs that he has maybe heard two or three times. He has also started to mimic the dance moves from his favorite shows. He can get the arm movements down pretty well. He has learned to identify the temple too. The last few days he has pointed to the picture of the temple in his toy room and said "temple" without me prompting or even asking him what the picture is. The funny thing is that we haven't even pointed the picture out to him very many times.
I think that's about all I'll say for now. I don't want to bore everyone too much. I just felt a need to give an update. I am glad that Gary has been posting a lot or we might have lost a lot of readers, but he unfortunately doesn't give as many details about James as I normally do. Here are some pictures and a video.

James is getting so big! He's adorable. I'm sorry you've been having a tough pregnancy this time around. Headaches, huh? I hadn't heard about that one as a pregnancy symptom before. Yuck. And that's scary about the dehydration--I'm glad you're all doing better!
It's not a coincidence that two words he knows are "broken" and "uh-oh."
:-)
Rebecca, I am SO sorry about the kidney stone, etc. that you have had to deal with this pregnancy! Yuck!!!! I hope the rest goes a little more smoothly. Looks like life is treating you guys well out there and James is getting so old! He is such a cutie. Take care!
