Baby #2 is on the way!

We are happy to announce that Rebecca is pregnant, and baby #2 is doing well so far. She had her 11 1/2 week check up today, and all systems appear to be go. Here are the only two ultrasound images we got from our small town hospital. (This second child will probably ask us later in life why James has 5 recorded DVD ultrasounds and a couple dozen ultrasound pictures...well, there's the difference between a cutting edge facility and living in a town of less than 10,000. Sorry baby.) The first picture is profile and the second facing out:

The due date for our new arrival is September 25th. Incidentally that is the same day BYU plays Nevada in Provo, so Dad is hoping the little fetus will not choose that precise date to join our family. ;-)

Yay! Are you going to find out the sex or will it be a surprise! Congrats on your expanding family:)

Thanks all. Rachael: We don't know yet. The antecedent to the "She" in the second sentence is Rebecca, although I can see how my sloppy writing makes it ambiguous.

Tai: We are going to find out the baby's gender around 20 weeks. Should be some time in May.

Yay! Congrats! How exciting! And I love the picture in the header of your blog. Wow, James is growing up so fast-what a cutie!

That's awesome! Congratulations. That is so exciting. And don't worry; I'm sure a Millward baby would know better than to interrupt a BYU sporting event!

I'm voting John Adams if it's a boy and Betsy Ross if it's a girl. Okay, maybe I need to think of a different girl name...Dolly Madison...maybe not. I'll have to give it some thought. I'm definitely liking John Adams though. What do you think?

Oh, and September 30th would not be a bad day for the baby to come. :)

congratulations! so happy for you!

John Adams is a possibility. We would be real tempted to do Benjamin Franklin, but James and this baby already have a cousin named Benjamin. I sort of like Alexander Hamilton, and he was another of my favorite founding fathers.

Congratulations! I think two is even better than one, although it was hard for me to imagine before having two. I've had conversations with my sister about how great it is to watch your children interact with each other, it makes each one even more interesting and special.
